As a Program Manager at Literacy Trust, Lindsay leads professional development and supports instructors in delivering the Reading Rescue program to first graders. As a former teacher, Lindsay is especially passionate about providing access to high-quality literacy instruction to young students and giving educators resources and tools to help their students develop into fluent, motivated, and confident readers.
For the past seven years Lindsay has worked as a preschool and elementary teacher (including kindergarten, first, second, and third grade) at both independent and public schools in New York City. Lindsay began her child-focused work outside the classroom producing content for kids (as well as parents and educators) at Scholastic and Nickelodeon where she served as Director of Digital Production. Lindsay has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and American Studies from Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Childhood Education from Relay Graduate School of Education.
Lindsay has lived in NYC for almost 20 years but still enjoys exploring its many sights in her free time, especially the city parks, museums, restaurants, and shows. She's also an avid film and TV watcher and is always happy to chat about what's in her Netflix queue.
