As a Program Manager at Literacy Trust, Elizabeth works directly with NYC DOE schools to facilitate professional development and train staff in delivering effective one-on-one instruction in Reading Rescue. She believes that all educators have the ability to create confident, young readers and that each of these students should have access to a comprehensive reading education. It is her job to ensure that Literacy Trust engages school-community leaders to implement Reading Rescue - a strong literacy intervention model - to engage and motivate students.
Previously, Elizabeth lived in Washington, D.C. and spent five years teaching third and fourth grade at an elementary school in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Masters in Education from the University of Maryland.
When not at Literacy Trust, Elizabeth enjoys exploring the city and relaxing with her newest novel.
