As a Program Manager, Dorie facilitates professional development and provides ongoing support to instructors in implementing the Reading Rescue program.
Dorie has previously worked and volunteered in a variety of classroom settings in the Boston area and abroad. Most recently, she served as a Community Education Promoter in the Peace Corps in Guyana, South America. She facilitated small group remedial reading instruction with students in first through fifth grade and led other literacy-based activities in her school. Dorie received a Bachelor of Arts in Child Study and Human Development and a Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education from Tufts University.
Dorie was born and raised in New York City, but still enjoys playing tourist and exploring new sights and neighborhoods. She is also an avid reader, podcast listener and amateur crossword puzzler.
